Wild Weeds Oxymel Recipe

A nourishing spring tonic abundant in vitamins & minerals.
Works wonders for allergies.
Take straight by the spoonful, add to hot water or tea
or use as a salad dressing.

What you need:

1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1/2 cup Raw Honey

12 oz Mason Jar

Spring Weeds

~ an oxymel is a 1:1 ratio of AVC & Honey ~

Forage any of the following: Nettle, Violet, Dandelion Leaf & Blossom, Chickweed, Red Clover & Cleavers.

Gather enough to fill a 12 oz mason jar (or whatever size jar you're using).

Forage responsibly and be sure to harvest far away from roadways, parks, conventional farms, etc. (basically you want to avoid any chemical exposure) + only take what you need.

Directions:

  • Place weeds on a towel overnight & let the little buggies be free. (you can rinse & let dry if you wish - I typically do not)
  • Warm the ACV on the stove on low heat.
  • Stir in the honey until dissolved.
  • Meanwhile, add wild weeds to the jar.
  • Pour over the ACV + honey.
  • Secure lid, gently shake to incorporate.
  • Label & store in a cool dark place for 2-4 weeks then strain.
  • Store in a cool dark place.
